A variety of outside-the-classroom opportunities are available at campus clubs and organizations. Becoming part of campus organizations is a way to really enhance your experience at the school. Students are even encouraged to start new clubs to suit new interests.

The Career Services Center offers services and activities to assist students with career needs. The Career Services Center staff will assist students in developing a personalized career plan that will hopefully address their specific short-term and long-term career goals. The school's Transfer Center provides transfer services, helpful resources, and educational events designed to aid a student's transition from Skyline College to a four-year college. They will work with students to help them meet their transfer goal.

The college offers a new Transfer Degrees, known as the Associate in Arts for Transfer (AA-T) or Associate in Science for Transfer (AS-T) degrees, which guarantee admission to a California State University (CSU) campus for every community college student who completes an "associate degree for transfer". This newly established variation of the traditional associate degree is intended for students who intend to complete a bachelor's degree at a CSU campus. Students who complete either the AA-T or AS-T are guaranteed admission to the CSU system, although not necessarily to a specific campus or major.

This transfer degree may not be the top option for students who intend to transfer to a specific CSU campus or to a university that is not a member of the CSU system. All students should consult with their counselor in order to help plan for transferring credits.
